This cuff will ship with a certificate stating that it is made from a mold that dates back to the Renaissance. Paola has graciously agreed to partner with us on jewelry made from these molds and will be using these molds to make jewelry only for us, therefore, only for you.
This cuff is part of a collection called, "Gioielli Dal Passato," which literally translates, "Jewelry From The Past." They are made from molds that date back to the renaissance and are only made for us. You will receive a romance card with each beautiful piece to explain the unbelievable history when it ships.
I fell in love with this cuff because it is not only a beautiful piece of handmade jewelry, but a piece of history as well. Paola, one of our favorite manufacturers, found these beautiful jewelry molds in the basement of an old jewelry shop near the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. These jewelry molds were created during the Renaissance (yes, THAT Renaissance), when the wealthy of Florence would commission unique cuffs of gold to be made for them to show their interests. These cuffs were a one of a kind signature for the wearer only and were worn by men and women. After creating stunning works of art in gold, these molds have been waiting there for you, buried in a basement, for hundreds of years until Paola found them and realized what they were. A piece of history, the shadows and voices of centuries past. These molds were the mark of the successful in their day. Walking the streets of Florence in beautiful fabrics and gold bangles. This specific mold depicts a flower design, which was a very popular element represented by various artist during the Renaissance. The name "Firenza"in latin is Florentia which literally translates "fields that bloom." A famous example of the use of flowers in art was from the renowned Renaissance painter, Botticelli, who was known as a trend-setter in adding floral designs to his paintings.
A beautiful cuff made from a mold that was created centuries ago to be made of gold during the Renaissance. The cuff depicts flowers. This cuff is literally a piece of history.

I love the combination of this oval shape genuine Mazambique Ruby center bordered by the sparkle of pink Sapphires and White Zircon. This ruby is amazing because it is so rare to find a ruby this size over 2cts and have it this saturated and vibrant in color. This shawl is such a breath of fresh air. The color is beautiful, the sleeves make it stay in place so you can wear it like a cardigan if you want to and the embroidery is the most elegant touch. For some reason it reminds me of Memoirs of a Geisha. I think because the Japanese have such an elegant feel to the art and design of their kimonos.
