I am so excited that we were able to find this very rare original Constantine the Great ancient coin pendant. 

Constantine The Great Story

Constantine the Great was one of the most pivotal characters in history. When he became emperor of Rome in the 4th century Christians were a persecuted minority. In his reign, he protected them from persecution, made Christianity the national religion, convened councils that decided the structure of the church, defined the content of the Bible, and shaped Christianity as we know it. We would live in a very different world if he had never ruled Rome. To have a piece of that history, to hold a coin that bought lunch for a worker, a gift for a loved one, or a room for a night over 15 centuries ago is hard to imagine. To own a coin that is a piece of that history and created by Constantine the Great is close to miraculous.

Widow's Mite Story

"this poor widow has put in more than all of them...she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."  This is the lesson of the well-known Story of the Widow's Mite from the New Testament. A story of people trying to impress others with their gifts to the temple and a poor widow, who quietly left 2 mites at the altar. Jesus said that she had given the most because she gave all that she had. This 2,000 year old coin is known to many of us because of this story. It is a symbol of true giving and sacrifice. A story that we grew up with as children when our parents wanted to teach us to be the people we could be. This small coin was used in the ancient world every day. A handmade, bronze coin that is irregular and handmade and rough by our standards because it was made and used 2,000 years ago. These are authentic ancient coins and increasingly difficult to find. What a feeling to own a piece of history, to actually own a 2,000 year old coin that is part of history and the Christian faith. These are the things I love. Things that are meaningful, rare, important and significant. 2,000 years and it is yours. Wear it well.
