I love the look and the story behind these Roman glass cross earrings.  They are so beautiful and I love the various colors of glass inlaid and designed to create the crosses.  The Roman glass in your cross earrings has been excavated from archeological sites in the Holy Land.  The glass, known as "Roman Glass" is blown glass that dates back to the 1st to 5th century. The formative period of Christianity is also known as "The cradle of Christianity."  The patina(textured surface) is a result of a 2000 year chemical interaction between the glass and the mineral saturated soil.
